About Me Hi! My name is Shyam Ravichandran and I’m a second-year Ph.D. student in Mathematical Computer Science. My research interests are broadly centered in Probability and Combinatorics, specifically their applications to Learning, Game Theory, and other problems in Theoretical Computer Science. Inside the department, I serve as the Co-President of the Mathematical Graduate Student Association (MGSA) alongside Naima Nader. Our department offers a uniquely collaborative environment through MGSA, which hosts our department tea and the Graduate Student Colloquium, fostering a rich community between subfields. Additionally, I serve as the organizer of the Graduate Computer Science Theory seminar with Clay Mizgerd. Previously, I recently completed my undergrad at Purdue University where I double majored Applied Mathematics and Statistics while completing a certificate in Data Science. Outside the university, I am an avid traveler, basketball fan, and runner.
